SNEO Head's Message on the Observance of World Braille Day
In the name of God
How beautiful is to see the world through your fingers!
Today is the birthday of a man who lived short but the fruits of his 41-year life left such a mark on the lives of millions of blind and visually impaired people that he immortalized his name right on the forefront of human history.
With the invention of reading and writing specifically for the blind, Louis Braille built the grand staircase that is now nearly two centuries old, and millions of the blind have gone up and down the ladder for years and have illuminated their dark world with the light of science and knowledge. On this occasion, we celebrate the World Braille Day.
In order to expand the braille education as one of its main policies, Special Needs Education Organization has launched a national braille education campaign for the blind and visually impaired, especially in the inclusive education.
On the honor and observance of this day, I call on all assistants and practitioners in this field to extend the braille education to the community of students and people with visual impairments, and to provide opportunities for these loved ones to flourish.
Seyed Javad Hosseini
Deputy Minister and Head of the Special Needs Education Organization
